We were particularly impacted with the coverage of the earthquake in Italy. We organized to donate our Shred Day proceeds to the Red Cross Earthquake relief fund raising.
When our team has a cause that is close to their heart, we ask them bring it forward for Urban Impact fundraising.
Each month, we support a variety of community organizations. We would like to thank everyone that stops by Shred Days for their generous donations- your support truly makes a difference.Posted: October 1st, 2016
Nicole is very honoured to be a guest speaker at the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Women In Leadership Panel Luncheon today.
“At the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, we are excited to present to you the opportunity to hear from three of our city’s top executives, to learn from their struggles and triumphs and forge meaningful connections with other leaders. Senior Richmond School District students from all 10 high schools have been invited to attend as well, passing on the wisdom of these leaders to the next generation.”Posted: September 19th, 2016
On Saturday, September 17, a little rain did not get in the way for the South Surrey Chamber of Commerce Shred Day for Pacific Assistance Dogs Society Shred Day. We were thrilled to provide a shred truck and a driver to help South Surrey Chamber of Commerce shred 4,480 kg of paper securely onsite by donation. The generous donations from the community in Ocean Park helped raise $3,645 for PADS.
PADS breeds, raises and trains life-changing assistance dogs. PADS is entirely funded through the generosity of donors and is 97% volunteer run.
PADS partners the PADS dogs with people living with disabilities, and with community care professionals.
The dogs change lives. They are more than beautiful, healthy companions, they are specially trained to aid people.
Meet Corbel, a PADS pup in training. Corbel is six weeks old and is already on his way to learning how to be an assistance dog.

We received a really nice thank you from Karina and her mom. Karina was the winner of the Beats Solo 2 headphones at the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival in Urban Impact’s “Draw Our Hybrid Truck” art contest.
“You guys made Karina’s summer! Thanks for having such fun competitions and wonderful prizes while teaching kids (and adults too) the importance of recycling! Thank you again!!!”
