Do you have documents that need to be securely shredded? Concerned about your privacy? Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming an identity theft victim. Protect your identity and the environment at a secure onsite community Shred-a-thons.
Urban Impact is proud to partner with a number of organizations to help them to host community SHRED-A-THONS! (Please note, the Shred-a-thon events are led and organized by the Financial Institution or Not-for-Profit organization. Urban Impact provides our mobile truck for the onsite Shred-a-thon and we also provide a driver. Shred-athon event organizers may change the date or time of the event. Please check our website to make sure the event is taking place.).
Come Shred at the Shred-a-thons! Please join our community partners by dropping by the SHRED-A-THON locations outlined below with your files and paper for secure, confidential, onsite shredding that occurs right before your eyes!
Shredding documents is the safest way to dispose of them and ensure that they don’t fall into the wrong hands.
To have your documents securely shredded, just drop the community Shred-a-thons. Have your confidential documents will be securely destroyed on site, free of charge.
- Our onsite shredding trucks arrive at the location of the community shredding event.
- Our bonded, uniformed drivers help attendees take a step toward identity protection by shredding and properly disposing of their sensitive paper documents.
- We will provide advice on how to protect yourself from identity theft.
Shredding Services are by Donation
The cost of the secure onsite shredding services is by donation. We are pleased to donate the proceeds to charities and/or causes in Metro Vancouver and Calgary. Here’s your chance to head down to one of the community Shred-a-thons to downsize your paper piles, organize your life and support a really worthy cause!
Come and join the Urban Impact team at one of the next SHRED-A-THONS! Bring those confidential documents to be shredded and take home the tips and resources you need to help protect yourself.

BCAA’s June 2 Shredathon was a Huge Success!
On June 2 , we helped BCAA hold a Shred-a-thon in support of the New Westminster Firefighters Society. The Shredathon event is certainly growing. There were over 5,500 kg’s of material on board! That is a record for this type of shred truck and we will be putting that scale ticket up on our “Wall of Fame” here in the office! Well done BCAA!
