The Conference featured keynote speakers, regional success stories and other conference highlights. The Zero Waste Challenge Strategy builds from the Management Plan by presenting a series of priority initiatives and actions. The strategy focuses on sectors and materials with immediate opportunity for change and success.
Urban Impact President and CEO Nicole Stefenelli’s was featured as one of the Regional Success stories. Nicole gave a presentation, called “Recycling Education for the Next Generation” at the Zero Waste Challenge conference. Nicole talked about how she conducts School Tours of Urban Impact’s recycling processing plant for Grade 4/5 students to create the next generation of recyclers.
