Just in time for Spring Cleaning!
June 11 is Shred Day for Sophie’s Place
Urban Impact is very excited to help the Rotary Club of South Surrey with their Shred Day on June 11th. Our driver will be onsite at Ocean Park Safeway from 10 am to 2-pm to provide secure shredding by donation. All donations will support Pacific Assistance Dogs Society and the Rotary Club’s sponsorship of a Canine Assisted
The Rotary Club is aiming to raise $15,000.00 for a PADS dog. PADS breeds, raises, trains and supports certified assistance dogs, partnering them with people living with disabilities and with community care professionals.
Intervention dogs are meant to assist community care professionals where there would be be physical, social or emotional improvement with the addition of a dog and its specially trained dog handler.
Shred for Sophie’s Place
Sophie’s Place is a child advocacy centre focused on providing specialized services to physically, mentally and sexually abused children. The PADS dog would be used to sooth children and if and when they had to go
to court. The PADS dog would be allowed in Court with the child.
