We had the best time this past weekend at the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival watching artists, both young and older use their magic to create the most wonderful renditions of our Hybrid Recycling Truck.

Over 150 artists submitted their drawings to us over the weekend; our team is busy uploading all the drawings into a Facebook album today. At one point we counted 30 people in our tent! We are also really thrilled with the creativity of the submissions- good luck to everyone who entered! We will be announcing the winner this week- stay tuned!

We are happy to share that the proceeds from our next Shred Day scheduled on Wednesday, April 18th, will be donated to pancreatic cancer research. Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in Canada and according to the 2011 Charity Intelligence Canada report, patients diagnosed early only have a 9% survival rate. While other diseases are researching for cures, pancreatic cancer research is still in the midst of diagnostic and detection research.
