Give to Gain on International Women's Day 2026

On March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Day, I will take a moment to honor and thank the women who work at Urban Impact. 

“International Women’s Day is a global movement that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It’s also a powerful opportunity to support women-focused nonprofit organizations and amplify their impact in our community and beyond.” (Source:IWD)

This is a day to celebrate all women, especially those in our work and personal lives. When I reflect on the many women in my work life, I am proud to say many of them are not just work colleagues but also friends. 

The year’s theme for IDW is #givetogain. Giving is gaining. This theme supports and is inclusive of all aspects of our lives. The more we support women, the more we all rise. 

I will be encouraging our teams to give to support women, in any form, give respect, give time, give funds, give opportunities and give however else you can.
