RCHF Charity Golf Fundraiser

Urban Impact was thrilled to be back on the greens in support of the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation (RCHF) at the 13th annual Making the Cut Charity Golf Classic, hosted at the stunning Swaneset Bay Resort and Country Club in Pitt Meadows. This event is always a highlight for our team — a day where community spirit, friendly competition, and a shared commitment to exceptional healthcare come together.

Why We Support the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation

Royal Columbian Hospital is one of British Columbia’s most essential medical centres. It is the only hospital in the province that brings together trauma, cardiac care, neurosciences, high‑risk maternity, and neonatal intensive care all on one site. When the most critical emergencies happen — major accidents, strokes, cardiac events, premature births — Royal Columbian is often where patients are rushed for lifesaving care.

The Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation plays a vital role in supporting this work. Through donor generosity, the Foundation funds:

  • Advanced medical equipment
  • Trauma and surgical care enhancements
  • Major hospital redevelopment projects
  • Innovation, research, and training
  • Programs that improve patient comfort and outcomes

Their impact is profound.Over the past 12 years, the Making the Cut tournament alone has raised nearly $700,000 to strengthen trauma and operating room care — areas where seconds matter and the right tools save lives.

Proud to Be a Golf Hole Sponsor

As a returning golf hole sponsor, Urban Impact was excited to join an incredible group of frontline hospital staff, community partners, and supporters for a day dedicated to giving back. Our team brought the fun with two interactive contests, including our crowd‑favourite:

The Duck Chipping Contest

“How did the ducks cross the greens?” With a wedge, of course!

Golfers had the chance to chip three rubber ducks into a kiddie pool for a shot at winning a Chilly Moose Cooler. The laughter, competitive spirit, and good‑natured heckling made it one of the liveliest holes on the course.

Recycling Fun Fact of the Day

We also asked golfers a question we hear all the time: Do you need to remove the bottle cap before recycling your container?
(If you’re curious — we’re always happy to share the answer!)

Community, Care, and a Shared Purpose

Events like Making the Cut remind us why community partnerships matter. When local businesses, frontline healthcare workers, and supporters come together, we help ensure that Royal Columbian Hospital’s trauma and surgical teams have the tools they need to save lives.

Urban Impact is proud to stand alongside the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation and the incredible medical professionals who care for our communities every day.
