Shred Days 2025 - Serving Charities and Communities

It’s hard to believe we down to the last few weeks of 2025!  Every year, Urban Impact commits to providing Shred Day event fundraisers for community-based charitable organizations.  Serving our communities and helping charities is a part of who we are.

In 2025, we crushed it!  Urban Impact is pleased to have served a cross section of communities. These are communities Urban Impact serves daily, making these events even more impactful.

We supported 10 amazing charities, with our charitable shredding services, serving a variety of needs throughout multiple communities, including Abbotsford, Langley, Surrey and Maple Ridge. The 2025 organizations, in alphabetical order, were:

  • 1st Langley Meadows Scout Group
  • Communitas (2 events)
  • Glenwood Elementary PAC
  • Killarney Community Centre Society
  • PADS
  • Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association
  • Surrey Hospice Society
  • Vancity Branch 23 – Langley
  • White Rock RCMP Victim Services

These events raised $34,160, almost double the previous year, and we shredded 30,590 kg of paper!

Shred Day events are a great opportunity for community-based organizations to raise money for their worthy causes. Urban Impact has begun to accept applications for 2026. Applications are accepted yearly, November 15 – January 15.  Shred Day events are usually scheduled in late spring and early fall.  Urban Impact provides a driver and shredding truck at no charge to shred sensitive documents for the community. Each charity is responsible for running the Shred Day event and most importantly making the ask of the community to donate to support the event and their charity.

We proudly thank all the charities for the opportunity to serve.
