A Simple Idea with a Big Impact
At Urban Impact, we believe being part of a community means more than simply doing business there. Every day, we work alongside our communities, supporting local businesses, non-profit organizations, and the people who make these places vibrant places to live and work.
Shredding Events are one of the ways we give back, helping local charities raise funds while providing residents with a secure and convenient way to dispose of confidential documents.
There's something especially rewarding about seeing those two things happen at the same time.
Turning Boxes of Paper into Community Impact
Shredding Events provide residents with a convenient way to securely destroy sensitive documents, including personal records, uncashed cheques, credit card statements, and insurance documents. Documents are shredded on-site, right before your eyes.
But the impact extends far beyond the shredding truck.
Local community organizations use these events as fundraisers, bringing volunteers and community members together while generating financial support for the important work they do every day.
In 2025, our Community Shredding Events raised $35,000 for local charities and safely shredded 30,590 kilograms of paper

Together, we create something that benefits everyone: secure document destruction for residents, paper recycling that supports environmental sustainability, and funds that help local organizations continue their incredible work.
It's a simple concept, but one that creates meaningful and lasting impact throughout the community.
