Congratulations to Communitas on their 50th anniversary! Since 1974, Communitas Supportive Care Society has been helping our communities by assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and acquired brain injuries across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and North Vancouver Island.

Over the years, Urban Impact has partnered with Communitas with multiple Shred Days events to help raise money for their organization. In 2023, we assisted in raising $3,136. 

To celebrate their 50 years of serving our communities, Communitas has launched a new initiative called the Communitas50 Fund.  “The fund will help progress several key projects and services aimed at meeting the housing, skill development, mental wellness, and employment needs of people with disabilities in our community” (https://www.communitascare.com/communitas50-fund/).

Communitas expects to raise $500,000 with the help of 50 champions and their networks.
