With the goblins, ghosts and costumes tucked away for another year, it’s time for our annual falling leaves reminder!  As we have already seen, the leaves are beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow but as they fall from the trees, along with heavy rain and wind, it creates hazards for our driveways.

Remembrance Day, also known as Poppy Day, is a day to remember and honour those who have served.  The red poppy flowers have been adopted as the symbol for Remembrance Day. The poppy flower is a nod to the Flanders poppies that grow among some of the war victims graves.

On October 14, Urban Impact helped facilitate a Shred-a-thon at Communitas Supportive Care Society of Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Communitas Supportive Care Society creates community for people of all abilities so that everyone can belong, grow, and make the contribution they want to make.

The organization facilitates home living, community support, employment, social enterprises, and respite for people living with disabilities in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and Vancouver Island.
