Congratulations to Communitas on their 50th anniversary! Since 1974, Communitas Supportive Care Society has been helping our communities by assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and acquired brain injuries across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and North Vancouver Island.

Over the years, Urban Impact has partnered with Communitas with multiple Shred Days events to help raise money for their organization. In 2023, we assisted in raising $3,136.

The weather perfectly timed with the changing of the clocks and fall has arrived. Time again for our fall reminder. To help keep us in motion and servicing all our customers, here are a few tips on keeping roadways clear and waste bins accessible.

Keep road and driveway surfaces clear

Fallen leaves quickly pile up on the edges of our local roads, clogging storm drains. Clogged drains lead to pools of water, which are dangerous and slippery.  Please rake and pick up leaves and debris off road drains.  

On November 11, 2024, we observe Remembrance Day. It is a day that we take a moment to remember and honour those who have served.  

As the leaves are changing colors, the nights are getting cooler and the days are a little shorter, it must mean Halloween is around the corner. One of the most fun times of the year, Halloween is the kickoff of sweet treats, decorations, and getting dressed up.
